AI Assistant

Meet Aira: what your AI assistant does, and how student data stays safe

Updated 23 Aug 2026

In short

Aira combines permission-scoped school context, deterministic tools and optional model-written prose for staff, family and public-support workflows. Staff action proposals require confirmation; Parent Aira is designed for the authenticated family's child scope. Voice and supported drafting workflows offer 11 languages—English plus 10 Indian languages—when configured. Generated text can be wrong, so source records remain authoritative.

Aira is Vidyapeeth360's built-in AI assistant for supported staff, family and public-support workflows. It combines permission-checked school context, deterministic tools and optional model-written prose. Generated text can still be wrong, so source records and governed product actions remain authoritative.

Where Aira helps

  • Staff and teachers can ask supported questions about school operations. The signed-in user, active school and relevant permissions are checked before a supported source or action is used; record-level scope depends on that source.
  • Parents can use Parent Aira for supported questions about their authenticated family's child context, including fees, attendance, marks and transport.
  • Public website visitors can ask about Vidyapeeth360 features, pricing, setup and support. The public assistant is grounded only in public Help Center and marketing content; it has no tenant-school context.
  • Supported actions are proposed separately from read-only answers. Sensitive or material actions require the relevant permission and an explicit confirmation before their product route runs.

Language and voice availability

Supported drafting and voice workflows offer 11 language options — English plus 10 Indian languages — when configured. Voice input and spoken replies also depend on the configured provider reporting readiness; they are not presented as universally available.

Governance boundaries

  • Permissions are the access boundary. Prompts are not a substitute for authorization checks. Each source tool and action route must enforce tenant, role and record scope.
  • Configured redaction is a safeguard, not a universal guarantee. The default model router pattern-redacts phone numbers, email addresses, Aadhaar, PAN and UPI IDs. Names are removed only when the calling context supplies the known values; pattern rules alone do not catch every name.
  • Student-AI health exclusions are flow-specific. Current student-AI projections exclude named health, infirmary, wellbeing and counselling sources. That does not prove a blanket boundary for every current or future AI integration.
  • Numbers require source verification. Deterministic reports can supply bounded figures, while generated explanations remain fallible. Staff should verify material figures and proposed actions against the linked record or report.
  • Availability is feature-specific. AI may be disabled, rate-limited, out of credits or unavailable through a provider, and a platform incident kill-switch can disable the router while an issue is investigated. Some workflows return a deterministic fallback; others show an unavailable state.

Getting started

  1. Staff and teachers open Aira from a supported web or mobile surface and ask a bounded operational question.
  2. Parents open Ask Aira in the Parent Portal and select the relevant child before asking a supported question.
  3. Website visitors use the public assistant for product information, migration, pricing and support guidance.

FAQ

Can Aira edit records silently? Supported mutations use their governed action route, relevant permission check and confirmation step. A read-only answer does not itself edit a record.

Does Aira guarantee that an answer is correct? No. Generated prose can still be wrong. Source records, deterministic reports and the result of an executed product action remain authoritative.

Are 11 languages always available? No. The product offers English plus 10 Indian language options in supported workflows when configured. Voice also depends on provider readiness.

AI usage is measured in credits included with the applicable plan; availability and credit cost depend on the enabled workflow.
