White-label

How do I add my school's logo and colours (white-label branding)?

Updated 23 Aug 2026

In short

White-label branding re-themes the whole platform — the app, the login screen, your PDF documents and your emails — from a single accent colour and your school logo. In Settings → Branding, upload a logo (JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP up to 5 MB), enter a full six-digit colour code like #1D4ED8, and add your tagline, sender name and support contacts. The platform automatically picks a readable text colour, the login page shows your branding even before anyone signs in, groups and trusts can set one brand centrally that member schools inherit unless they override it, and you can reset to the default theme at any time. White-label is available on plans that include it.

White-label branding lets you make Vidyapeeth360 look and feel like your school rather than a generic product. Instead of the standard blue theme, your logo and your chosen accent colour appear everywhere your community sees the platform — the app itself, the login screen, every PDF you generate, and the emails you send home.

This matters because parents, students and staff trust what feels familiar. A portal that carries your crest, your colours and your school name reassures families that they are in the right place, reinforces your identity on every fee receipt and report card, and makes your school look established and professional — the polish a much larger institution would have. It is a small setting that quietly raises confidence across every interaction.

By default, every school looks identical to the standard theme. The moment you add your branding, the platform re-themes itself end to end. White-label is available on plans that include it, and you can switch back to the default look whenever you like.

How it works

You control the whole look from just two things: one accent colour and one logo. From those, the platform does the heavy lifting:

  • Your accent colour flows through buttons, highlights and headers across the app.
  • The platform automatically picks a text colour with enough contrast to stay clearly readable, so you never accidentally end up with pale text on a pale background.
  • The same accent appears on email header bars and on the coloured bands in your PDF documents, so receipts, certificates and report cards match the in-app theme.
  • Your login screen themes itself before anyone signs in, so families see your school from the very first tap.

Step by step

  1. Go to Settings → Branding.
  2. Upload your logo. Use a standard image file — JPG, PNG, GIF or WebP, up to 5 MB. SVG files are not accepted because the logo is shown on the public login page and must stay safe for everyone. If your logo already lives online, you can paste its image link instead.
  3. Set your accent colour. Enter a full six-digit colour code, written as a hash followed by six characters — for example #1D4ED8. Shorthand colour codes are not accepted, so that the platform can always guarantee readable contrast.
  4. Add your details. Set a login tagline, the sender name shown on your emails, and a support email and support phone for families to reach you.
  5. Choose whether to show the small "powered by" note, and whether to switch on the Aira chat assistant for your public website.
  6. Save. Your branding applies immediately, and every change is recorded for your records.
  7. To undo everything, use Reset, which restores the standard theme.

For school groups and trusts

If you run several schools under one trust or group, you do not have to brand each one by hand. Branding is resolved in a simple order of priority:

Table from assistant response
PrioritySourceWhen it applies
1The individual school's own brandingWhenever that school has set its own
2The group or trust brandWhen the school has not overridden it
3The standard Vidyapeeth360 themeWhen neither is set

Set your brand once at the group level, and every member school inherits it automatically — unless a particular school chooses to override it with its own logo and colour. One thing to note: the Aira chat assistant toggle is set per school and is not inherited from the group.

Tips and best practices

  • Pick an accent colour with real depth — a deep, saturated shade reads better and keeps text crisp against it.
  • Upload a logo with a clear or transparent background so it sits cleanly on both light and dark surfaces.
  • Fill in your support email and phone — these travel onto documents and emails, giving families a direct line back to your office.
  • Preview a fee receipt or report card after saving, so you can see your colours on a real document before parents do.

FAQ

Q: Will my branding show on documents and emails, or only inside the app? A: Both. Your accent colour appears on email header bars and on the coloured bands in your PDFs, so receipts, certificates and report cards all match the look of the app.

Q: Why can't I upload an SVG logo? A: Your logo appears on the public login page, which anyone can reach before signing in. To keep that page completely safe, only standard image formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) are accepted.

Q: Can I use my own web address, like portal.myschool.in? A: A custom web domain is on our roadmap but not yet available. For now, your branded portal carries your logo, colours and identity in full.

Q: What happens if I turn branding off? A: Your portal simply returns to the standard blue theme, looking exactly as it did before you added any branding. Nothing is lost.
